Poet Gary Snyder has been awarded the Academy of American Poets’ $100,000 Wallace Stevens Award. (Clickhere to read a statement from fellow poet Jane Hirshfeld.)
Our congratulations to him for this latest honor. (He also recently received PEN New England’s “Henry David Thoreau Prize” for Literary Excellence in Nature Writing.)
