The Shambhala Sun Foundation is pleased to cosponsor the first-ever BuddhistContemplative Care Symposium, which will run November 8–11 at the Garrison Institute in Garrison, New York. The conference focuses on providing the most effective palliative and end-of-life care possible, drawing together neuroscience researchers, doctors, nurses, and other health care providers, Buddhist teachers, and patient advocates. Keynote speakers include Buddhist teachers Koshin Paley Ellison, Judy Lief, and Robert Chodo Campbell, and doctors Anthony Back, Diane Meier, Radhule Weininger, Michael Kearney, and BJ Miller.
